1500 smart UPS and ap9617 network card WITHOUT USB cable?
How do I setup my smartUPS to shut down computers WITHOUT using a USB cable? All the APC literature keeps pointing to using a USB cable to shut down a "server" and have that "server" shut down other computers via powerchute.
Is there a way I can run the cmd line command "shutdown /s -m 192.168.X.X /t 05" from the network card and thereby have it hit the IPs to shut down over the LAN? I'm trying to avoid the USB cable (not much point having a network card if you still have to run USB cables).
