hello,
in other words, let's say we have 10 servers connected to the infrastruxure 20kw which, suddenly, loses power from the grid w/ runtime = 1.5 hrs
Q.
where in the infrastruxure's web interface or powerchute business edition's (if that piece of SWare can be used in this case) GUI can we specify
a server to shut down at a specific point in time (let's say when runtime equals 1 hr) ?
so i can setup every server to shut down every 5-min interval and be done w/ all servers down, theoretically (i understand every time a server goes down i buy more battery time for those still standing), when runtime=10 mins
the lay out has as follows:
a rack of 10 servers and a couple of apc racks (one is a continuation of the other)
power of the server rack feeds off of the apc rack
we are not using network mngt cards or anything of that nature,
do we need those cards to be able to schedule server shut down ?
or we can simply do it from a GUI ?
thanks
sk
