I'm trying to connect our PDUs to our Lantronix Console servers. Ideally I'd like to to cut off the db9 end of the cable and re-crimp it to a rj45 connector. (rj45 is what the console server ports are). This is actually the cheapest solution for us, otherwise adapters or new cables are needed and that gets very expensive for 100+ PDUs.
Can anyone share the information on the db9 pinout of the cable? I have tried a couple times with no sucess. Fwiw, I am very familiar with the setup/operation of the APC PDUs, and the Lantronix Console Servers, so I'm 99% sure, that those are not the issue

That was kinda the reason for the question, so we would not have to spend $500+ on another connector.
Thanks though.

this is what i found out in case any need to know the pinout and how it eventually connects to rj45.
on the db9 to rj25 cable, the color wires are set up as such...
this info is useful if you want to crimp them yourself and not spend $800+ on more adapters to make it all work
