Having an issue getting PowerChute Shutdown to talk to my two UPS units, keep getting:
Dont have any FW enabled, I'm using the VMA version 5.1, that doesnt have any FW enabled, yet I can get the two to talk, below you will find information in regards to the UPS units:
I can login to each UPS mgmt card just fine, I've reset everything on the MGMT card side, username/password are default (apc/apc) Just looking for some advice on what steps I shoudl take next. When running the windows version shutdown server everything works just fine.

have you reviewed Kbase FA159624 http://www.apc.com/site/support/index.cfm/faq This Kbase helps with communication issues.
When PCNS initially communicates with the NMC it uses TCP port 80 so be sure that port is open. The user names must match along with the authentication phrase. Also incorrect subnet mask can cause this issue. Another issue could be the UPS are not of the same model type. A good way to trouble shot that is to run the configuration wizard again and set up as a single UPS install to see if PCNS will then discover the UPS individually.

Thanks Bill, although I had thought I went through all IP configs, I realized that the subnet mask on the actual UPS units was incorrect. I've since corrected the issue and things are good to go now
