Hi Guys
If the battery current of the Silcon 60KVA will reach up to 155 Amps, what are the possibility/ extent of damage to the UPS? Or is this possible to reach 155 Amps for battery current? Please advice thanks

Actually I'm refering to P=IE
P power being drawn from the battery to supply the load
I current from the battery
E battery string voltage
As the batteries discharge the voltage starts to drop. So as E drops I has to increase to keep P constant.
Once the DC bus reaches a certain low voltage the UPS shuts off the output to prevent the battery level from dropping to low. The prevents current from reaching extemely high levels trying to keep P constant.
Hope this makes sense. If you are blowing or tripping DC fuses/breakers you may have others issues and I would recommend calling into 3 phase tech support.

Hi,
Are you refering to the displayed battery current?
If yes your UPS should be locked in static bypass , with a red LED...
There is a DC sense board in Silcon that is responsible for this measurement...
Usually it will need replacement...
Regards

Hi Hazem
yeah on the display and also in the log event, but the battery current on the display and from the log event is different
the log event was quite lower than from the display.
so if the dc sense board is faulty, do you any idea whats the cause why the board got spoiled?
thanks
