multiple ssh/telnet connections to pdu

We have a bunch of APC PDUs (current one i'm looking at is AP7941). We're using them for testing purposes but the hardware limits us to one telnet/ssh connection at a time. Is there any way to change this? We would like to have multiple connections so multiple test scripts can execute using the same apc.

on any AP7XXX, unfortunately no. the management card inside only supports one connection at a time of any type (web/telnet/ssh/local console). on the newer AP8XXX PDUs, we will support this later this year. other APC devices will also support this in the future, such as AP9630/31/35 UPS management card devices.

We do have some AP8xxx models so would this be a firmware upgrade that we can get later or will it be only available in newer models on the AP8xxx line.

Either way, thanks for the info. It might be a way we can get management to bring in some more APC PDUs

Yes, it will be a firmware upgrade for AP8XXX only. We are releasing this functionality in the next week or so for AP9630/31 UPS Network Management Cards (if you had any of those) but for AP8XXX I don't think it would be earlier than Summer unfortunately.
