It appears that we have lost the admin password for the device listed in the subject. I have seen others post their serial number
and have been sent a name and password. I am hoping this can be done for me too.

Alright. You can see the information(card model/serial number and version of the firmware) via telnet, System>About system.

I looked at about UPS and it has firmware revision 73.14.D I don't see a listing for external devices.

I would like to ask if you are talking about resetting the password of Network Management Card installed on that particular unit or any accessories connected to it? (please take a look at the back of the unit, to check what accessory is installed on it)

can you send a screenshot of what you're looking at? It sounds like you are logging in with a read only or device password to a management card. if you post a screenshot, we can better assist you. thanks!

Hi,

In order for you to reset the admin password, you will need to be physically with the unit and reference [Kbase 7879|http://nam-en.apc.com/cgi-bin/nam_en.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=7879&p_created=1149160062&p...] for the proper procedure.
