Hi, I h ave an x3000 ups with the network management card v2.
firmware v5.1.3
I've set up the email, and it sends test emails fine, I receive them.
But I don't get any notifications.
I've tried changing the delay, but I have never received a notification through email. The event log gets them, but no matter what I try in the email event actions, I never receive anything.
As I said, the test emails go through just fine, and I receive them in my inbox.

can you ping between the server and the NMC? is there more than network card in the PCNS client where we may need to adjust the binding order?

NVM!
Turns out the company spam filter caught them. I don't get them in a spam folder, I get a quarantine email the next day saying what it caught.
Odd that the test ones go through...

yes i agree. perhaps something in the body of the email is causing it to be marked as spam and the test email doesnt have the particular word or whatever.

can you post your config.ini file please? you can delete everything out of it if you want besides the sections entitled NetworkEmail and EventActionConfig.
if you need help downloading that file, you can use these instructions -> http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9321/
also post event.txt if possible.
what steps did you go through to configure particular notifications?
Thanks.

actually, I do have one more question. We have 2 groups of servers on different subnets.
2 are in the 10.8.16.xx subnet that the network card is in, the others are in a 10.8.20.xx subnet.
When I install the powerchute shutdown on the .20 network, it doesn't find the management card.
Any ideas? I've tried adding a second IP address to the network card, and it still doesn't see it

It shouldn't be a port issue, as I have no trouble installing it on the same windows server machines, with the same settings, on the .16 network.
Also, windows firewall is off
