I have a Cisco switch, which is connected to AP7723(firmware 2.0.1) ATS. AP7723 has two source feeds- preferred "source A" is connected to mains power and "source B" is connected to UPS. UPS is not manageable. The problem is, that in some occasions ATS redundancy is lost because something happens with the UPS. This is a remote site and as I told, I'm not able to manage UPS remotely. The problem is, that at the very same time when "source B" is lost, the switch reloads for some reason. This shouldn't happen because ATS doesn't even use "source B":
---
ATS Status
Source A selected, Switchover Possible
Selected Source : Source A
Preferred Source : Source A
---
ATS itself has never reloaded. It's only the switch behind the ATS which reloads at the very same time when something happens with the "source B".
What might cause such issue? Aren't there filters in AP7723 which assure that disturbance introduced on the sources are filtered out for outlets? All suggestions/thoughts are most welcome 🙂

sorry - missed this post.
can you post the other files i asked for too? i'd like to see the full data and event logs if possible. furthermore, we made significant changes dealing with ATS behavior in the newer firmware. i would definitely think about upgrading and seeing if the same behavior exists. [information here on the upgrade process|http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/11107].
lastly, please be advised that the ATS has a break before make transfer type. this includes a transfer time of 8-12ms, with 16-18ms maximum. the power supply in the cisco switch might not be able to handle that but i am not sure that is the case before i see the full logs. [see technical reference here|http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/THON-7GTPY6_R5_EN.pdf]
you also didnt mention if this is the only piece of load the reboots and other stuff doesnt. or is this the only thing attached to the ATS?

can you provide the full event, data, and config.ini files? (instructions are here for that.) also, can you point out in this log when you've seen the Cisco switch reboot? is there any other equipment attached to the ATS? if so, does that reboot?
also, i might consider upgrading your ATS if possible for other benefits and fixes. i am not saying it will fix the issue here since i don't know what it is yet, but i noticed you indicated you have firmware 2.0.1 on the ATS itself. we have an upgrade which will update the ATS network management card and the ATS to 2.0.3.
take a look here if interested -> http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/11107/
the file would be available from here -> http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=AP7723&tab=software
