cannot get smtp working on powerchute

No matter what smtp i use, the configure email parameters doesnt work so without that I cannot use the product. smpt for yahoo gmail and hotmail work on a multiple of other apps on this pc so why not powerchute?

i believe those other services you mentioned require SSL authentication which powerchute supports plain text authentication only. that could be one of the reasons it does not work among others. i deal more with our network management cards and i know thats one of the reasons why if you are a home user or at an office that is on their own domain why it will not work without some type of mail relay.

Well then how would someone set this up using the gmail smtp server? I can't imagine that hasn't been done before for this product. and yes i have the 9630 network card installed, but cannot get it configured. Can that be causing the mail issue?
