I am interested in automatic shutdown of 2 linux servers that run oracle databases. We have 2-SMT3000RM2U units each with an AP9631 NMC2. Each linux server has a PSU connected to each UPS for redundancy purposes. The challenge is to shut down the oracle instances before the linux servers are given the shutdown control event. I have the scripts necessary to issue the oracle commands needed for shutdown - I am simply confused on which solution to use in order to execute the scripts before a shutdown control event.
Would this be feasible to explore NMC2 + Power Chute Network Shutdown or consider Power Chute Business Edition with Power Chute Agents on each machine?
