apc AP9640 Network Management Card 3 SNMP OID

Hi!
We have an APC Smart UPS 2200 with  AP9640 Network Management Card 3. I would like to monitor the network card with SNMP. I am unable to find any information using google, user documentation nor online OID browsers. Please help if anyone could.

Hi,

Unsure what you are going to use and what APC offers free of charge (no software is free of charge anymore?).

We are OpenSource software fans and we are using NUT hosted usually in our Netgate routers.

NUT is multiplatform software - you will find releases for:

Linux eg. RedHat, Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu, Arch

*BSD including FreeBSD, NetBSD

Windows (including unofficial, lightweight NUT-WinClient which you can easily deploy on Desktops)
OSX / macos
Solaris

and various architectures including:
x86
aarch64 (arm)

NUT is monitoring all our APC UPSes centrally and installed in multiple machines running different OSes functioning as client shutdown (you have Java clients too, so we never had ANY problem using NUT).

Here you have a very good "open books" on it:

https://networkupstools.org/docs/user-manual.pdf

and

https://github.com/networkupstools/ConfigExamples/releases/tag/book-3.0-20230319-nut-2.8.0

You need to invest a bit, but you should be happy and not "locked" anymore to APC software or even APC devices (as NUT will be able to monitor many other vendor devices).

For APC we normally use SNMPv3 monitoring and it works very well.
