Hi all,
I'm making some cleeanup in the data center and upgrading some old hardware.
I have a ap9225 masterswitch plus with a ap9606 web management card. It was working perfectly. (was) 🙂
so I decided to upgrade the firware to latest on the ap9606 to aos326b.bin/sumx326a.bin
After restarting everything, I lost the masterswitch outlet control part in the web management.
If I log consol to the advance port,I get the ap9606 menu but witout the ap9606 ( I need to physically remove the card ) and I get the outlet control. on/off/delay etc...
Is there something I'm missing here?
Does the ap9606 need a special firmware to work with the ap9225? If yes witch is it?
Thanks
Spazio

Do you have any idea what firmware you had prior to the upgrade? This product is very old so I don't know it very well unfortunately. I didn't even really know you could talk to the Smart-UPS through this to be honest. The card is definitely AP9606 in your AP9225, right? These can also use AP9617 I think too but I imagine if this firmware worked, it was the right thing.
I can't find any newer firmware for AP9606 for MasterSwitch plus than what I sent you so far. The only newer firmware is if your AP9225 has an AP9617.

Yes, you loaded the wrong firmware. The firmware you loaded is for Smart-UPS so it can't talk to a MasterSwitch now. What you need is in here. This is for AP9606 in AP9225 only.
ftp://ftp.apc.com/apc/public/hardware/mswitch/firmware/msp/v200/
Load the aos254.bin, then the msp200.bin similar to how you did the previous upgrade.

Cool, Thanks Angela, that did the trick I got the outlet controls back but!
There's always a but!!! I lost the Smart-UPS menu...
Here is my setup, The masterswitch plus is connected to an apc Smart-UPS 3000xl. With the first firmware I had the ups menu and connectivity without the outlet control, now the outlet control is back but the Smart-UPS menu and connectivity is gone.
Is it possible to have both menu, the masterswitch outlet control AND the Smart-UPS menu connectivity?
If yes how do I achieved that?
Thanks
