Hello,
I have some servers + other equipment protected by a UP MGE EX 11 RT 3:1. (I think that MGE was now buyed by APC...). It's a very good UPS and it's 3 years old.
We are building a new computer room,
With most of the servers, we have redundant alimentation...
Actually the 2 alimentations of the servers are on different PDU but on the same UPS.
So, in case of problem on the UPS, I think that the server are badly down.
If we plug the second alim directly to the AC without UPS, we aren't protected agains surge, ...
So, we are looking to a second UPS. This UPS is only for the time of the servers shutdown when there is a problem on main UPS (because of money, we (the boss) don't want to buy a complete second set of UPS).
So we are looking for a good, easy and cheaper UPS.
Actually the UPs is charged at 27 % (not much) for approx 2200W of charge. The charge of servers is approx 1500 W (2000 W for future use).
What is possible to do ?
Thx

Yes, It's what I have.
For the second UPs, not necessary to have a three phase UPS.
I can have input voltage 230V (single phase) or 400 V (three phase)

do you need this to be rackmountable or is a tower okay?
how much runtime are you looking for?

I want a rack solution
And for the time, 10 minutes is ok (just for the time to shutdown the servers)
