Why not encrypted SMTP support and SMTP port changing?

Hello, I dont understand why I can not configure port and encryption method in SMTP in the Parachute Business?... today nobody use port 25 anymore, could this be solved ASAP please because notifications

are useless, this application seems part of Jurassic Park.

Knowing you have an SURTA1500XL from your previous post, one option is an AP9630 or AP9631 UPS Network Management Card that you can use to replace the PowerChute software. It monitors the UPS over the network and works with PowerChute Network Shutdown software to achieve graceful shutdown, eliminating the serial connection between computer and UPS, assuming your attached load requires graceful shutdown.

The AP9630/31 UPS Network Management Cards with v6 firmware support SMTP authentication and now do also support SSL/TLS SMTP authentication as well as changing the SMTP port from the default of 25. This would be the short term answer.

I don't think you'll see any major PowerChute Business Edition updates within the immediate future even though there is talk of a future release in the coming year or two. (don't quote me on that timeframe though)

Angela its ridiculous for one UPS setup (even for more if I dont want to manage from a central console) to think that I should buy a card, what I should do in the future is ban to buy future UPS from APC, I will go forTriplite or other brand for sure.

Let talk plain, the UPS software sucks!!...

Well I can at least provide your feedback to the PowerChute software team, which I just did, to make sure they understand the shortcomings and what customers are looking for.
