I just picked up a Back-UPS BE550G, hooked it up and installed the latest PowerChute PE on a Windows 7 Professional 64-bit system.
First thing I noticed was that the Run Self-Test and Energy Usage items were missing from PowerChute. A very long chat with APC didn't help get an answer, but looking at the PCPELog.txt file shows that these two things may not be supported on the BE550G, although I can find nothing in any documentation to say so.
With respect to the BE550G, BE650G1 and BE750G... do any of these units under PowerChute show the self-test and energy usage?
Secondly, what about Master and Controlled outlets? The BE550G apparently does not have this feature. What about the others?
My plan is to use this BE550G when I get a NAS and get something better for the PC, but now I don't know which one?
Thanks.
-Bruno
