Where can I find rack mounting ears for the SC450?

The subject line says it all. I've got an SC450 that's been sitting on the floor in the "tower" configuration, and it's time to put it into a rack instead. Naturally, the rack mount ears that came with it are nowhere to be found. I've already searched the APC website in vain, eBay had nothing, and Google didn't help either.

Follow-up question: As far as I can tell, the SC450 is considered lightweight enough (as UPSs go, that is) that mounting it "just by the ears" is good enough, and that it doesn't need mounting rails too. True?

Yes, it's the SC450RM1U. Serial number is 3S0737X556## (I really don't think that I should be advertising the full serial number on a public forum).

Hi Pinball,

Thank you for the quick response. I would like to ask additional information as when this unit was purchase so we can verify the warranty of the UPS. It's best if you have the Purchase Order stating the date of purchase. Please send the information via private message on this forum.

Otherwise, you may contact CBMI and ask if they can provide you the mounting ear for your unit.

Should you have any further question, feel free to reply. Have a good day!

OK, you talked me into it. The serial number is 3S0737X55677. So can you help, or do I call Coastal Business Machines?

Juangele, you should reconsider referring people to Coastal Business Machines for anything other than repairs or refurbished equipment; they don't sell parts:

"Coastal Business Machines is APC's only authorized out of warranty service provider for single phase UPS battery backups & also the only vendor that is authorized by APC to sell APC Certified Pre-Owned single phase UPS battery backups. Due to the amount of repairs that we have committed to & the number of orders that we have to fill, we are unable to sell any individual parts."

Looks like I'm out of luck.
