Hello all! First post and a noob to U.P.S. equipment in general so please excuse me if what I'm about to ask is in fact rather stupid ! ๐
I was given a used sc620 smart-ups which is in good condition but unfortunately is not big enough to power my pc so I started thinking what else I could use it for.
- Is it ok to use this unit to power one or two 9watt cfl bulbs in the event of a power outage at home?
- Is it ok to charge the unit at home and then transfer the unit to my truck to power the same 9watt cfl bulbs at say a picnic site? For this situation, there would be no connection to the mains power, so I was not sure if it was safe to operate like this. Obviously great care would be taken in regard to moisture and would not be operated in anything less than perfectly dry weather!
Thanks for reading!

You could use it for that purpose though as you said, make sure it doesn't get wet etc as it's not designed for outdoor use.
