What application should I use to Windows 11 to Shut Down my PC via Ethernet connection?

Hi!

I have the APC SMT1000IC UPS. I have connected it to my network via an Ethernet cable. I am able to communicate with it via the smartconnect.apc.com.

I have a PC with Windows 11 Pro installed.

My question is very simple, but you have a ton of applications that most of them are deprecated, and I cannot understand what application should I use for my case!

1) What application should I install to Windows 11 to be able to gracefully shut down my PC after some seconds my UPS running on battery, by using this Ethernet connection (not USB or Serial)...

1b) Instead of an app installation, can I use the online smartconnect.apc.com service to send a shut down command when needed to my PC?

I see you are checking the Greek version of our website. An improvement of the page is ongoing and for some reasons the v5 download does not seems to be displayed. The team is fixing this. Thanks for highlighting this.

Now, on your last question, Powerchute is an important software to monitor and control the UPS and no plan to discontinue it, quite the opposite, this v5 is having a lot of new features and our roadmap is full of innovation.

You can be at peace in purchasing the Network Management Card and you will greatly benefit from it.

Sorry. The SmartConnect port is designed to communicate with the cloud portal. From the cloud, you can monitor the UPS, receive notifications, and updated the UPS firmware. Also, if you purchase an advanced subscription, you can power cycle the outlet groups or UPS.

If you want to communicate with UPS locally, you will need a network management card. With a network management card, you can utilize PowerChute Network Shutdown to provide graceful shutdown of the Windows PC.

With out the network card you can use PowerChute Serial Shutdown and communicate with the UPS via USB or serial.

The PowerChute Network Shutdown is Discontinued as your website says!! There is nowhere a download link to be able to download it!!

So, where is the point to buy a Network Management card for my UPS if I cannot use it?

Yes, this link you gave me from Singapore has a Download button and I am able to download it. But my questions is, is the application from Singapore going to be in English language?

Also here, in the official APC's Software / Firmware Download webpage, there is not any download link to be able to download PowerChute Network Shutdown in English language... All products here are Discontinued as you can see... There is nowhere version 5.0...

Therefore, in the end, what really interests me is, should I buy the Network Management card (which is pretty much expensive) or will this version of the application also going to be discontinued sometime in the future, thus I won't be able to use it at all after that?
