Good day guys,
I have been informed by my UPS supplier that if you want to use the APC UPS (40KVA) then you must use the APC battery modules with them otherwise it will not work.
However i already have 30 number of 12V batteries and i want to use them instead of purchasing the new battery modules.
Kindly any member let me know how is it possible. I am thinking about connecting 15 Batteries in series to make meet the floating UPS battery charging voltage. Kindly help me out if some one has realize it earlier and does it works fine.
Thanks in anticipation,
Best Regards,

It is possible to use 12V batteries but they must be set up as positive and negative strings with a center point. Also, a battery disconnect needs to be in place as well as fuses. Application engineering would need to approve this configuration in order for it to be supported by APC.
If this is "restuffing" the battery modules, you can do it but we can not support any battery alarms or battery issues..
