Hello,
Let me first present what I'm trying to do, and what the steps I have taken to accomplish my goal:
I need to update a total of 14 UPS' so that Warning & Critical events have a delay of 5 minutes on their notifications (changed from default of 2 minutes)
When I log into individual UPS' via the web, and attempt to change the delay for entire groups of events, the way the interface works, I need to enable all of the subevents in that group - this forces me to go back and edit individual single groups and single events back to the way they were.
I'd like to get a little more granular with my edits, so I looked to the config.ini and was hoping to make some edits there. Here's my problem (well, two really):
1. I can't download a config.ini from the Smart-UPS 700 series APC's - do these have config.inis?
2. On the other APC's I have been able to download the config.ini from (2200s), I don't see the event notification delay setting (looking for the default setting of 2 - and would like to bump it up to 5)
Here's the closest thing I could find, and this doesn't look right:
TAPCarrier3DataBits=7
TAPCarrier4DataBits=7
MessageDelay=0 seconds
Repeat=1 try
PageInterval=1 minute
NumericSiteID=""
SiteName=APC Management
SiteIDMode=IP address
Lastly, does anyone have any best practices for making small changes to multiples of UPS? Do you save individual config.inis and edit those? How does multiple UPS updating work? When I download a file from a given UPS, it's the individual config.ini, with no distinguishing characteristics to the filename.. so if I were to try and upload to multiple UPS', they would all pull the information from a single config.ini?
Any help would be most appreciated!
Thanks!

let me try to help..
1.) AP9606 management cards do not have config.ini files. network management cards AP9617, AP9618, and AP9619 only have config.ini files in 2.5.0 firmware.
2.) the delays for the events are located at the bottom of a config.ini. it is really card to set these up via the config.ini in my opinion but here is what the configuration looks like for this particular event with the default settings, the e-mail will be repeated every 2 minutes, until the condition is cleared.
; UPS: The output power is turned off.

i would personally configure one the way you like it, then download the config.ini file (you can download just the event configuration portion of it) then push that section out to the rest of the cards you want to.
the bits you posted from the config.ini file is from the paging section of the card.

I Picked a Winna,
The first link you supplied explains exactly what I was looking for - thanks much!
Regarding the older NMC's (AP9606s) - is it possible to change the notification delay? If so, how can I do that?
Thanks

no, unfortunately not. only AP9617, AP9618 and AP9619 have it on firmware 3.x.
AP9606 (all firmware versions) and AP9617/18/19 1.x and 2.x firmware versions do not have the ability to customize event delays, etc
