Unable to establish communication with my UPS

Hello,

I seem to be missing something in my Smart-UPS setup.  I am hoping for some help in setting this up.  Although it seem straightforward I am obviously missing something.  The UPS has a ping-able address but I think it has never established a connection with this site.  All help appreciated!

If you’re trying to access the UPS locally you can’t as this system by default is cloud based.

If you connected the green RJ45 Ethernet port to your network. This port is dedicated to communicate to the APC Smart Connect cloud hosted service.

You may use the following resource link to review the steps to enrol your system to this paid subscription:

https://community.se.com/t5/Getting-started-with-SmartConnect/Getting-Started-with-SmartConnect/ta-p...

If you want local access, control, and management of this device. You’re limited to using the APC Power Chute Software or 3rd party software such as NUT / APCUPSD etc.

Thank you for your detailed reply,  Teken.  Unfortunately (or fortunately) I have followed the steps you have outlined previously and still have the connection problem.  I have also deleted the profile on the APC website and re-entered it.  I have verified the SmartConnect Remote command, rc:1 and the Communications Protocol, cp:1 as well.  I have confirmed that I am on the Standard SmartConnect plan.  Finally, I have reset the network interface several times, to no avail.   At this point I am at a loss as how to proceed…

What is the Smart Connect error code being displayed by the system?!?

Please refer to the user manual page 15 for some of the possible codes and meaning:

https://download.schneider-electric.com/files?p_enDocType=User+guide&p_File_Name=SU_UM_990-5444E_MN0...

Please describe your network infrastructure and how the UPS is connected to the same.

Please affirm the RJ45 Ethernet jack is connected to the Smart Connect (Green) port on the back and (NOT) the (Black) RJ50 Serial Port.

Ensure any and all firewall / filtering has been white listed or removed as it relates to the UPS & Smart Connect.

Let me know . . .
