UPS was shutdown during lightning

Hi

Any idea why the UPS ( SUA3000RMI2U )was shutdown right away during lightning ( stormy weather ) but during regular black out UPS was normal it can back up more than 15 minutes.

Hi,

If the batteries were drained /low then the UPS would shut down. You should run a self-test to see if the batteries pass. I also suggest running a simulated power outage with a lamp plugged into the UPS and not essential computer equipment to see if the UPS sustains the lamp.

The batteries are in good condition, we run self-test its ok, also we simulate power block out ( by unplugging from AC source ) with server load its seems ok. 

Actually this not just happened to SUA3000RMI2U, it happened also to APC BX650LI-MS all ups is line interactive.
