Hello,
Sorry for being such a noob, but we're currently building a proposal for a client which involves UPSes for AIX midrange servers. They want something that can supply 30 minutes of backup power to these servers; i used APC's product selector(by load), and presented a list of models that are rated at 5kVA.
Problem is, the client did mention that their power facilities can only handle 3kVA, at 240V and 13A. Does this mean i can't use the 5kVA products?
What's a possible workaround for this? Can i possibly use two 3kVA UPSes and attach each redundant PSU to each of these units(redundant PSUs are supposed to share the load 50-50 right?)?
tia

One more thing, not all redundant PSUs draw half and half from where they are connected,
some act like backups for when one of the PSUs fail.

Good day!
Yes you can go with two (2) 3kVA units, APC has SURTD units that can work with your client's 240V site voltage
(check the tech specs first and you should see Other Input Voltage just above Batteries and Runtime,
but you still need to take into consideration the input requirements of the units that you are going to get like the input
plug that the UPS requires.
