UPS for Altice 44378
Hello,
Trying to determine what a good UPS would be for a simple Altice 44378 wireless router/modem. We tend to get frequent but short power outages in our neighborhood during spring thunderstorms, it's annoying to lose the Wi-Fi every time that happens. I don't think that modem uses much power, but I'd like to have at least about an hour of back up run time, just in case.

You’ll need to start by reading what the power consumption is for the router. Armed with that information you can use the APC Runtime Calculator to determine how much time will be provided given the load.
You’ll quickly find out the router (power consumption) is too low and doesn’t meet the minimum requirement. 🤦♂️
Regardless this gives you a good idea of how long X model vs Y model will operate when there’s a black out / power interruption. 👍
If finances aren’t an issue along with space I would ask you to consider a larger unit that provides a True Sine Wave output. If you’re very serious about long term usage and performance you might consider a lithium model vs SLA. The lithium models offer longer service life / performance and warranty.
A 1000 ~ 1500 VA UPS is more than capable of providing an hour of runtime for the router / modem. ☝️
