We have 2 Smart UPS (SUVTP10kH2B2S) connected in parallel using the parallel kit (SUVTOPT009S). Recently had a main power module failure on UPS1, UPS 2 tokk over the load.
While installing the faulty power module unit of UPS1 and hooking up the parallel kit ,the UPS2 turned off the load. Which shouldn't happen. Load on UPS2 was then switched ON, disconnected the parallel unit of UPS1.
From the logs of UPS 2 just before the load was turned off i see this message "
UPS: A no master present fault exists in the parallel system. |
However when checking found that one the 2 pins of the parallel kit got shorted (not inserting/fitting the parallel kit correctly). My query is
* does shortening of the pin will cause UPS2 to shutdown, if so why?

Hi,
I checked with the support team here in North America and they suggest you contact local support to get a field service engineer (FSE) on site. You should have local FSE onsite to download PM logs and verify which 2 pins where shorted on the parallel kit.
