Hello all,
Someone can help, I am connecting a new UPS Galaxy 5500 for the 1st time (This unit for the first time I mean), and during the commissioning paces I happened to measure the Rectifier output on the DC bus..gives 260VDC on open circuit (Battery Breaker OFF. The Battery bank is a 36 unit bank with12V batteries, nominal voltage 432VDC. I hesitated to connect the battery breaker QF1 on with such a disparity in voltage; is this normal?
Will the rectifier ramp up to the battery voltage? If not, will the battery higher voltage not damage the UPS/Rectifier?
Any ideas welcome and appreciated.
Thanks
