UPS Lost Communication
I received an email this morning from smart connect indicating "Communications Lost" with a client's UPS 40 miles away. The UPS is a SMT1500RM2UC running firmware 4.6.
I was able to access the network remotely and ping the IP address of the UPS but could not access the device from smart connect APC dashboard. Thinking I had a more serious issue, I drove the forty miles in to check it out. When I arrived, nothing looked out of the ordinary. I rechecked the smart connect website and was able to the UPS had re-establish communication. Apparently, the device re-established comms while I was in route to the client's location.
The fact I had network connectivity to remote in, outbound connectivity because I was able to browse to the smart connect website the only thing that makes sense is the smart connect website had some glitch??
Anyone else experience issues like this??
