Does Symmtra LX accept an external, non APC battery, like a banc of 12V90w/cell?

the guy is trying to replace an old Topaz UPS single phase, 5kVA 240 - 240/120 from MGE.
He has a rack with 20 batteries(12V90)for the UPS, but he is using the 120Vdc, for a custom application. I a trying to figure out a solution for him, given the environment

no, Symmetra LX will only support an APC battery, part number SYBT5. you cannot swap out the individual battery cells inside of an SYBT5 either, since each SYBT5 is programmed at the factory with its internal battery type, etc which cannot be done by an end user. it does support adding an additional external battery cabinet to it and programming the UPS with the additional amp hour runtime though. this is the only "supported" external option
