Symmetra RM 6000 - 5 faulty battery modules at once
Hello!
We have a Symmetra RM 6000 with the XR. 5 batteries on the MAIN and 3 on XR.
We received an email alert after a self-test that at least one battery module is faulty. We checked the display and it was MAIN R2. A battery was ordered.
The display only listed one faulty - then said end of fault list hit ESC.
I pulled out R2 and noticed that it kept indicating a fault after I escaped from the message that the units of batteries were reduced. The warning message was for R3, so I reseat that one, then R4 said faulty. Then L3 and then L4.
I thought this was over. But then it said 2 of the XR batteries were faulty. I reseat those.
I was locked out of the management console since I've logged in with another device - could not get into it without resetting management card. I finally did that to gain access to the web interface.
I did a self-test and it caused 4 of the batteries on MAIN to show faulty.
The XR did not show faulty - perhaps the self-test did not test XR.
When I did a Google Search from the very beginning before I even knew 7 of the batteries were showing faulty, I came across a web article where someone had the same issue. I didn't think 1 hour later I would have ran into the same.
I am not sure where to go from here. I have a brand new battery... and now no use for it, unless I fill another slot.
