I have purchased a used APC UPS with an AP9631 network card. I would like to access it via it's IP address. I get the message "This site cannot be reached".
My router has assigned 192.168.50.89 as the IP address. It has the name apc3373AD.
This device was supposed to include the software; however, amazon did not include it.

Have you tried HTTP and HTTPS? Some of the newer firmware requires HTTPS.
Also did you get the programming DB9 to headset jack with the card? It some cases the web protocols for http and https are disabled. If you did not get the console cable you can try using putty or other terminal program using SSH to that IP address. The terminal settings should be set to 9600 8 1 none none.
One other question can you ping the device

Hi Teken,
The UPS is model SMT1500RM2UNC and the network adapter is an AP9631 NMC-2 with AP9335T Temperature Sensor.
Thanks

I cannot do a db9 connection easily due to the location of the rack is not accessible from a desktop PC and the fact that my laptop does not have the connector.
Yes, I can ping it and it shows up with an APC name in my router connections.

Update. This morning I was able to briefly connect with my browser for the first time (I didn't do anything new). I updated the PW as instructed and could view the various settings. However, I went into the date settings to update and now it will no longer connect. Ping still works but it will not connect to Chrome.

Steve I am assuming you are trying both HTTP and HTTPS? Also if you can ping the IP have you tried putty or some other terminal software to access the card? Usually it requires SSH, but it could also be telnet, depending on the settings in the card.
Also can you elaborate on "I cannot do a db9 connection easily due to the location of the rack is not accessible from a desktop PC"
I ask as if you have multiple cables for the APC you can just leave one connected and do not have to fight with it every time. I do this a lot with ATSs in full racks as we mount them with the outlets facing outward and the console connection is on the front. Making it hard to get to.
Also if you can can you try a different network patch cable? I have seen issues sometimes when an older or "slim" cable is used. These cables either have heads that are worn down or slightly smaller heads (on slim cables) that do not always hold in the port correctly.
