Have an old 750XL. It has optional 24 volt external battery pack(s) possible.
"up to ten external battery packs."
APC does not have and/or will not suppy the pair of DC input plugs I would need to take, say, a pair of 12 volt motorcylce batteries in series and use them as one inexpensive external battery pack.
Anyone know where I can get or make or substitute connectors for that pair on power inputs?
Anyone know if when the main/internal battery is getting near end-of-life if the UPS will work off the external battery pack? Either with or without removing or replacing the internal battery?
Alex

Its highly recommended by APC that you dont use other battery packs besides Genuine RBC Packs
Also bad batteries tend to go really bad if there not replaced cracking, buldging, etc
