Software Removal

I have had the need to remove the PowerChute software, in which I did so via the Windows 2000 Control Panel/Add/Remove Software..............unfortunately, I believe that there are still "power management" features of PowerChute still running randomnly on my machine. I hopes that I don't have to completely re-image my machine in order to "completely" remove this software, I am asking the forum for any advice to assist me in removing the remaining remnants of the PowerChute software

What PowerChute software are you using? Personal? Business Edition? Network Shutdown? Once that's provided I can private message you with the proper keys to remove from your registry.

I suspect that I am using Personal........a CD was included when I purchased the APC "Surge Strip" for my home pc.

I have a similar problem. I work for a small company, and we have a variety of UPS products depending on which cube you sit in. I moved from a cube with an APC Personal product to a cube with a product from a different company. I'm trying to uninstall the Personal Powercute software but cannot get past the screen that says it is trying to re-enable Windows power management. Moving my PC back to connect it, just to uninstall the software is not feasible.

Suggestions or workarounds?

Call APC tech support who will be able to send the registry keys to you for manual uninstall.

The APS unit never worked properly, always shutting down my system immediately if power surge or outage occurred; I removed the unit, and CANNOT uninstall the software, and CANNOT disable it from startup menu. customer service dept. doesn't even seem to understand English and is no help whatsoever. This software is unwanted, and might as well be a virus. Everytime I try to uninstall it, it says I must first update it! I even tried that, but your website requires the model/serial # from the unit long sent to the landfill! I am very upset with every aspect of the product, and will tell everyone I know NEVER purchase APC products!!!
IN NEED OF HELP TO PERMANENTLY REMOVE THIS SOFTWARE FOR APS POWERCHUTE HOME EDITION, THANK YOU.

I'm using the Personal Edtion, and need to uninstall it, this software is causing my system to shut down. PLease send me instruction on how to manual unistall it.

Unfortunately I'm on vacation until July 28th and will only be moderating the boards until then. Therefore I don't have access to those keys.


Angela, Matt, Adam, Oscar or Scott, can one of you who sees this and is on VPN send this customer the keys please? Thanks.
