I have a UPS750 protecting a HP Proliant G6 server running windows 2008 SP2.
The UPS750 reports comms lost about 2-3 times a day.
About 2 time a month the server goes to sleep. The only think in the windows event log is a 'Kernal Power' event saying the system is going to sleep, no indication why
The first is just an annoyance, the second is a real problem. Anyone got any ideas?

is this while using the powerchute software or native Windows support only? if powerchute, which version? also, are you using USB or serial communications? i am guessing USB but would like to be sure.
does the system regain communication its own or do you have to do something to get it to start communicating again? how long has this been happening? how old is the UPS?

Hi James,
Have you tried moving to PCBE 9.0.1? Also, what if you remove all the USB devices on your PC and just leave the APC UPS does the problem occur again?
