Smart-Ups SMT1500I

HI,

I did buy Smart-ups SMT1500I, i have connection problem when i try connect to ups to pc cables: 940-0127E (usb) and 940-0625A (serial) device not found Only Usb port does work on device. I Need Serial port to apcupsd (modbus), so is device faulty?

Hi,

I did install PowerChute Business Edition Agent on windows pc software did find ups and i got some info out of it, also i did uprade firmware version to 9.1. but atm linux support with apcupsd is not so good atm.

Also, modbus needs to be enabled on the UPS side before it will start outputting via serial or USB depending on the application you're using and if it supports modbus over each. (the UPS supports both natively)
