I have two Smart-UPS X 1500s in my server rack. These are new devices. I have twelve servers with each one having dual power supplies. On each server I have one power supply connected to one UPS and the other power supply connected to the other UPS. Today I disconnected all of the power supplies that are connected to the 1st UPS to clean up the cords a little. Of course the 2nd UPS gave me an overload error but it still kept my servers on line. I then reconnected all of the power cords and the second UPS stopped giving me the overload error. I then disconnected all of the power supplies that are connected to the 2nd UPS. And all of my servers instantly went down. I received no error beeps from the first UPS at all and it did not display any errors on the LCD screen. Both UPS devices have a 100% charge on their batteries and each one has one external battery. Any ideas as to why the 1st UPS would not hold my servers up?

yes check any logs and attach them if you can. It could be that the ups had to shed the load even though the second ups didn't shed it, the servers could have been doing something processor intensive (witch would draw more power and maybe go past the overload point, when u pulled the 2nd ups`es cords.
Did the ups shut down when the first cord was unplugged or the last? or in the middle.
Also please provide the model and serial number of the unit(s)

Kevin,
When the first UPS dropped the loads, did the LCD display and LEDs went off? Let us check if the UPS1 can support the load during startup, disconnect the load on UPS2 and then turn UPS1 on. Once UPS1 is on, turn on the load and take note of what the UPS would display. Let us also check the UPS firmware on both UPS, using the LCD control buttons navigate until you reach Configuration menu and then select the Menu type as Advanced. Once it has been changed, navigate until you reach About and then look for Firmware Revisions take note of it and paste it here.
Another configuration that we can check is the Load Shedding. Load shedding enables the UPS to turn off some outlets if the UPS has encountered an overload, has run on battery for X amount of time or the UPS has low runtime. Load shedding can be programmed under Configuration as well.

do you have any network management cards installed in the UPSs or any powerchute service monitoring the devices? this would give us some logs to look at and review.
when your servers all turned off, did the UPS turn off as well with no beeps or remain on with no beeps or anything?
