Smart-UPS SC 620VA 120V Networking

The features of the SC620VA includes "Provides remote power management of the UPS over the network."

How is this accomplished?  Is it Ethernet capable?

Hi, 

The SC620 does not have a network connection. The line is in reference to a SC620 connected to a PC that is running PowerChute Business Edition. If the SC620 is connected to a PC running PowerChute Business Edition you would connect to PowerChute using a web browser and could then monitor and manage the SC620. The SC620 would be connected to the PC using the serial cable that is included with the SC. 

If you are looking for a Smart-UPS that you can connect to directly you would want a SMT model with a network management card. With a network management card, you connect directly to the card to monitor and manage the UPS. If you only want to monitor the UPS, you could purchase a SMT Smart Connected Smart-UPS and monitor the UPS using the APC / Schneider Electric cloud.

Thanks for the reply, Bill.  I consider that monitoring and management by PC (direct connect), not via networking (TCP).   (I doubt a PC with serial port could even be found anymore.)

I'm interested in only continuous remote monitoring and notification of events.  Configuration can be local.
