Trying to connect to the management card by I always get this error now: This object on the APC Management Web Server is protected.
Have tried /logout.htm but I still get the same error.
What does pressing on the "reset" button on the Management Card? from what I saw it keeps the same IP and security settings so it's kind of useless.

Hey Luis,
The reset button just reboots the card.
That message is generally because the card has TLS enabled for the web. Try adding https:// in front of your IP address to access the card.

Hi David, I tried that since I'm the one securing my severs, firewalls and web services.
Still, nothing works in order to fully reset that card as I can't even get to the login screen.
cheers!

hold the reset in for more than 20 seconds, the green flashing light will turn to an orange flashing light to say the card has been formatted. You may need the device IP configuration app to find it on the network again unless your router has a fixed IP set.

Just a disclaimer. Format function, while one of my favorite things to try when starting over, will erase ALL settings and configuration on the NMC. I am not sure if that was clear already.
The original issue could've been that someone changed the default HTTPS port to something different as well which is another security option the NMC offers.

Hi Angela,
But how to clear all settings from the AP6930 without even been able to remotely log into it?
Is it by pressing the Reset button for 20 seconds or more??
Regards,
Luis

Yes, that's right - press and hold the reset button for 20 seconds. It will "pulse" green and then change to orange when you can let go. If it does not do this, then the action won't complete so just make sure you hold it steady and long enough. We call this sequence a "format" and I just wanted to clearly explain it will clear ALL settings and it resets everything. You'll have to reconfigure from scratch.
