Smart-UPS 750 problem

Hi,

Today I buy this Smart-UPS 750 on a flea market, only it doesn't work (see video below). When I connect the power cord in the power socket it only beeping and blinking, also the device isn't findable with the PowerChute application.

Does anybody know if I can fix this problem with a new battery-pack?

Ok, well that is issue #1. You'll need PowerChute Business Edition (Agent component) with this type of UPS. Personal Edition is only for Back UPS products, not Smart UPS. I am not sure with the state of the UPS though if you'll get any information but it is worth a try.

This is most likely some type of major "internal fault" which may require repair (or replacement). It looks like it can't start. Your region may offer repair services but I am not sure how that works - local support may know more. Typically here in the USA, we don't repair them and have a certified repair facility called CoastTec (if not under warranty) since we don't release schematics or repair guides for this type of small UPS. The only serviceable part is technically the battery and I don't think that will help here.

Which version of PowerChute did you use and what communication cable? This UPS requires PowerChute Business Edition with an APC USB or APC serial cable.

If anyone else with more detailed information on this type of unit wants to chime in, that's fine, but proceed at your own risk.
