Hello,
I have three Smart UPS 3000 (SMT3000RMI2UC) a with built in network adapter. I already added the UPS to smartconnect.
Smartconnect is nice to have but I also want to monitor the UPS with our central monitoring tool PRTG.
For that I have to configure SNMP.
The three UPS are pingable but the is no webinterface reachable. I didnt find a solution in the offical docs.
How can I configure SNMP? Do I need an extra/other adapter?
Help in this case would be much appreciated.
Regards
Johannes

Hi @ACE
Thank you for reaching out to the SE Community, my name is Jon and I will assist you with this query. The network adapter that is installed/embedded on the UPS is for the SmartConnect features and it doesn't have the SNMP capability.
In order to communicate via SNMPv1/v3, you would need to install a network management card such as AP9640 or AP9641.
AP9640 - UPS Network Management Card 3
AP9641 - UPS Network Management Card 3 with Environmental Monitoring

Hello Jon,
thanks for your fast reply.
I checked the UPS and I think there is an additional slot.
Is this the slot where I can install the additional UPS Network Management Card?
Regards

Hello Ace,
Yup, that's right. That is where you are going to install the network management card.
