Smart-UPS 15000 Firmware Upgrade

Hi,

I have a Smart-UPS 15000 with an AP9619 Management card. I'm trying to upgrade the card's firmware, partly because it has a little idiosyncrasy where the card says someone is logged in even though they aren't and the idle timeout is set, and partly because it's old. The current versions are:

Name: sumx
Version: v3.5.5
Date: 05/24/2007
Time: 16:14:52

APC | UPS Network Management Card

Name: aos
Version: v3.5.5
Date: 05/24/2007
Time: 15:44:22

I went to the APC site and downloaded the firmware update util which it recommended: apc_hw02_aos373_sumx372.exe. When I try to run it using the same credentials I log into the management interface with I get an access denied error:

"Could not log into the Management Card's FTP server."

I can connect to the FTP server of the device and can see "apc_hw02_aos_355.bin" and "apc_hw02_sumx_355.bin" on there, and in the folder that apc_hw02_aos373_sumx372.exe extracted to I can see "apc_hw02_aos_373.bin" and "apc_hw02_sumx_372.bin". Can I copy these into the folder and get the device to boot from them or do I need to use the upgrade util?

If you can log in yourself, try following the manual FTP instructions for NMC1 documented here (http://www.schneider-electric.us/en/faqs/FA156047 ) to get the .bin files to the AP9619 Network Management Card (NMC) in the correct order.

The NMC will reboot after each .bin file is put on there so you'll have to reconnect after you do the AOS first, then the sumx file.

Hope that helps. Any of the other methods for NMC1 can be used too, upgrade utility is just one method.
