Hi There,
Our Smart-UPS 1500 is continuously beeping on and off but no lights are flashing.
The lights on the front show:
- Load bar far left has two out of five lights on
- The on-line light is on (the middle one from the left three lights)
- The battery has all five lights on
No other lights are on and none of them are flashing - does anyone know what the problem is?
I couldn't find any reference to this in the manual.
Any help would be appreciated, I can't shut things down because of an initial backup that has been running for several days now - and the beeping is driving our office CRAZY!
Cheers
Ben

Thanks for your reply - yes it's definitely the UPS making the noise - and yes, very odd considering all the lights look normal.
I caved in to office pressure, stopped the backup, shutdown the server and turned off the UPS - beeping stopped. Have just turned everything on and so far no beeping.
With regard to the software, the APS site is confusing as I can see Mac OSX listed but the files just seem to be PDFs or HTML guides - no actual software. Do you know if there is software available for Mac other than the built-in energy saver options? Looks like you need the full Powerchute software to test and enable most of the options.
Cheers and thanks again for your quick reply.

Are you 100 % sure the UPS is making these noises? Based on your description of the LEDs, there should be no reason why it's beeping. Short of turning off the UPS ensure the beeping stops when you do, the only thing I recommend is to install software to make sure the UPS is operating normally. If you have Powerchute or a network managment card, please login and see what it shows for the current status.
