Smart-UPS 1500 External Battery Compatibility?

Hi,

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but here it goes.

At work, we have an Smart-UPS 1500 but by the sounds of it the battery is on it way out.

Now they have ordered a "Dell Tower External Power Midule" but not sure if they checked that it was suitable for this unit.

Now i have no idea what im supposed to be looking for, i though it would be as simple as plugging the external power supply into the UPS system and that would be it.

But there doesnt seem to be anywhere to plug the power supply into.

I also removed a blanking plate form the rear of the unit but it was just a hole with a connector at the bottom of it that looked nothing like the connect on the external module.

I dont suppose anyone has an idea on how i can solve this?

The only "Dell Tower External Power Module" I could find when I searched online was for a dell UPS. In the past, we have had dell branded UPS' although as far as I know, we didn't make any that worked with external batteries. What is the module # of the your UPS? If it's a SUAxx or DLAxx, it doesn't appear the "Dell Tower External Power Module" will work as it's not compatible with our UPS'.
