I have a Smart-UPS 1500 connected to a Server 2008 R2 machine running PCBE via USB cable. This morning my UPS lost power for exactly 5 seconds. The UPS initiated an OS shutdown immediately. I have looked through the PCBE console and what documentation I could find and I can't figure out how to force the Smart-UPS 1500 to wait until it has been on battery for a certain period of time before initiating a shutdown.
Also, will PCBE run a .BAT file or only .CMD?
I have attached a screenshot of my shutdown settings.

hm ok, great. i think you can also play with your command file duration as well to give you some extra time.

command files can be .cmd or .bat -> http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7712
also, click on events on the left hand side and then you should see actions. there is an action under Warning called Time on Battery Threshold Exceeded. This is in the agent web interface. i would suggest working with this event to set a particular threshold if you'd like.
how much total runtime do you have?

Angela,
I believe that is exactly what I am looking for. I have 13 minutes of run time. I have set this threshold for 5 minutes, that should give my script plenty of time to shut down my servers.
Thanks!
