Hi!
I have Smart-UPS 1000 RM
From time to time "battery capacity" suddenly falls down from 100% to 3-7%, but the battery voltage seems not to be changed (27, 67V).... as well as output load.
What can cause such a strange operation?
Thanx in advance

Hi
just try to make calibration for your ups
log in to your ups , you will find UPS CALIBRATION startups calibration but make sure your battery capacity is 100%

Do you have the event log for this same time period please? That'd be helpful.
How old is the battery? If it is the original battery, we could tell based on the first several digits of the UPS serial number to see how old it is. My first thought is the UPS did a self test and I suspect it is an aging battery that cannot support the UPS load any longer. I need the event log and age though to verify my theory.

While I agree with you for the most part, you could still have some type of battery issue and the voltage shows as good, especially if the load on the UPS/battery is not large.
What I am seeing is that your UPS is very new as you said, less than a year old. I also see the UPS switching back and forth frequently to and from battery operation. I think we need to figure out what that is happening. I don't see any obvious power events in the data log (which logs every 10 minutes). The first thing you could do is adjust your sensitivity/line quality. Lowering these settings a notch will make the UPS less sensitive to power issues. We can see if this makes a difference. I am assuming this is a 230V model UPS but you seem to be feeding it 220V which should be OK..
Do you know what the exact SKU is of your UPS? It appears to be a 230V model as I noted. If you have a newer version of firmware on your Network Management Card (v6.0.6) which is green or white, you can see the exact SKU under About->UPS. If you have an older version that is blue and white, just tell me what you see under UPS->About for firmware versions and ID and I can maybe tell by that if you cannot check the sticker on the back of your UPS to verify.
If lowering the sensitivity does not at least help or make a difference in the amount of transfers back and forth to battery, then I'll want to know that firmware to see if there are any issues we've identified with hysteresis that cause too many transfers (just as an example of what else could be a problem).
What is the attached load on the UPS? Servers, routers, etc?

I'm afraid to lower sensitivity settings because it will increase "high transfer voltage" parameter. In that case, voltage for server (load) protected by ups can be out of band.

It will increase the high transfer voltage parameter yes but depending on the piece of equipment, this is likely not out of range. A UPS is designed to protect IT type equipment and it would not allow too high or too low of a voltage through to damage any of your average type of equipment. Do you have a specification on the type of equipment where it says it cannot accept a voltage below or above a certain amount specifically? This UPS also has boost and trim (Automatic Voltage Regulation) functionality.
This seems like an older generation UPS, perhaps SUA1000RMI2U or similar is my guess based on the information you provided. I think there is something happening on the input that is causing it to constantly transfer to and from battery and our typical remedy is to lower the sensitivity. I believe that is causing the battery capacity issue. Beyond moving the UPS to a different circuit to try, the next step is to try and adjust the sensitivity just to see.
