Greetings!
I have been using APC UPS's for a little while now as the company I work with uses UPS's quite a bit for our systems deployed worldwide.
Now, I have faced a problem recently. We only use Macintosh computers to control our systems and we have relied heavily on UPS for when power outages occur on our sites. So being able to connect via usb cable from the UPS to the Mac Mini's allow me to set shutdown options when the UPS is right about to turn off due to a prolonged power outage.
I've noticed recently that the UPS tab no longer appears on any 10.12 or 10.11 Mac computers. Still working fine on a 10.9.2 and 10.6.8. What's really bothering me though is that this same UPS used to work just fine on the latest MacOS versions so I'm not sure if something has changed recently with these UPS's?
Any input is greatly appreciated!

Hi,
You can check communications between the UPS and Mac OS X 10.? with this command
system_profiler SPUSBDataType
You should see a return like this
In the example above the OS was Mac OS X 10.12.6 and the UPS was a Back-UPS 700 G
