Setting up Outlet groups
We have replaced a few UPS at client sites with UPS that have ability to setup Outlet Groups. The remaining UPS at these don't have outlet groups. We are trying to configure the outlet groups but are running into issues that one web interface does not allow this as well as these older UPS does not have outlet groups labeled on the rear plate. Is there any thing we can do to set outlet groups on these? We want to keep the redundancy so we don't want set them up as a singles.

Hi,
The default setting is to power back on when AC is restored. The setting can be found on the network management card under Configuration - Shutdown.

Jeff,
Are you attempting to configure PowerChute Network Shutdown with redundant UPS? PowerChute can be configured with redundant Smart-UPS as long as they are similar. Example SMTs, SMX, and SUA will work together but SURTs will not work with those UPS. If you are mixing SMT or SMX with a SUA since the SUA does not have switched outlet groups when configuring PowerChute your options are to power off the UPS or do not power off the UPS. The option to shutdown an outlet group is removed because 1 of the UPS in the group does not have that feature.

Okay, one more question. If the UPS is set to turn off after the servers shut down, will it turn back on once power is restored and turn the servers back on?
