hello
we have several SU 3000s
in the settings, you can configure automatic self tests intervals
i don't want a self test to be run during working hours, and as from what i can tell it is pretty much random at which time the self test is made
you really cannot define the time at which self tests should be run?
thanks in advance

Yes, you can only set to Never, At Start Up , 7 days or 14 days self test on your Software only. If you wish, you can set to Never and when ever you required the self test you can perform through software. So that it will not perform randomly on your UPS.
But I think there is no any specific time that UPS will perform Self test after 7/14 days, it just perform generally.

You can only define self tests to run: Never, Every 7 Days, and Every 14 days, and trying to plan the self tests can be difficult without a lot of finagling by powering down the UPS after changing the setting, "brain deading" the UPS (i.e. discharging all internal component power, explained below), and then turning the UPS back on. The self test is set up to run "in 7/14 days" depending on your setting, and will only execute on the 7th/14th day in general. It will not necessarily run at the exact same minute/second after the interval for the next self test is reached.
To brain dead the UPS:
-Turn the UPS off.
-Unplug the UPS from the wall/input power completely.
-Hold the OFF button on the UPS until you hear a faint click. The UPS LEDs will generally flash briefly as well.
-Plug the UPS back into input power and turn it back on.
