Windows 7 64bit, Smart-UPS 1500 connected via USB
Had to install a new hard drive and tried to install the most current version of Powerchute Business Edition, but it wouldn't find the UPS. Reverted back to the disk that came with the UPS and it sees it, but when I tried to log in to the web interface I get a pop up that says it's blocked the loginapplet.
It does this regardless of the browser. I'm running Kaspersky Internet Security and tried with it disabled to no avail. This pop up doesn't look like KIS. I've checked Windows Firewall (which Kaspersky hooks into) and I can see the exceptions listed for Powerchute. o
I've googled and searched and tried all I can but to no avail. This was working fine with the old hard drive.

I am thinking this is coming from Java? Can you confirm which version(s) of Java you have installed on your system? I only say that because for our KVM Switches, a similar thing happened and it is due to new security features within Java 7, update 51. Even if you're not at Java 7, update 51, perhaps the Java security settings are set really high.

sadly none of those worked for me either. They are all "can't establish connection"
I turned off windows firewall and am still getting the security message. I'm at a loss for where to from here. Everything had been set up via the browser when I got the UPS. It is still up and running and the computer plugged into it. The UPS is listed correctly in my devices, but I am not seeing it listed in the advanced settings of my power options plans (as if Windows 7 is not controlling the shut down for it either)
