Scheduled shutdown and power up when power is restored
Can I do what I want given these circumstances?
Situation: Planned power outage with 4 hour window, **but** it could be back on in as little as 1 hour. UPS would exhaust batteries in 20 minutes.
Preferred course of action: Power off connected equipment before outage begins. Configure UPS to shut down 5 minutes after outage begins. Have UPS power up connected equipment as soon as utility power is restored.
However the setting for configuring a scheduled shutdown don't seem to allow this. Turn Back On choices are Never, Immediately, or At (specified date and time).
You can use the Outlet Groups Load Shedding feature to turn the UPS off when it is running on battery and turn back on when AC is restored.
You can configure Load Shedding "Power failure lasts longer than xxx seconds for all outlet groups. Then configure a Power on delay or Minimum return runtime to restore output once AC has returned.
NOTE: All outlet groups must be configured and the Main - Un-switch outlet group will not power off until all switched outlet groups have powered off.
